Friends, I have been stewing about something for quite awhile. People ask me how in the world I know how to can/sew/etc or laugh in an amazed sort of way when I tell them that we took our then 11 month old on a overnight backpacking trip. Honestly, things like that are not insurmountable and it all boils down to the fact that I’ve chosen to put in the time and energy to make seemingly difficult things happen.
Enter the Yes, You Can! Turning Mountains INTO Molehills series. I want to inspire, encourage, and equip you to turn things you consider mountains into molehills instead of the other way around. While some endeavors require some skill/ability and others have a considerable learning curve, most things in life are pretty doable. And since I’ve already done a lot of the background work for some seemingly crazy hard adventures, why not learn from what I’ve done? Don’t recreate the wheel…ride it down that mountain!
Some typical and legitimate reasons for not attempting a new, challenging activity include:
- not knowing where to even start.
- not having the time to do the necessary homework to make your challenge a success.
- fear of being unprepared for the task.
- the feeling of doing it alone (who else is crazy enough to do it? you wonder).
- thinking it’s too hard so you’re just not going to try it.
With the tutorials/instructions/guides in this series, you now do not have an excuse to use Reasons 1-4. You can still use Reason 5 I guess but that’s totally up to you. Anyway, I hope that you find the posts in the Yes, You Can! Turning Mountains INTO Molehills series to be an inspiration, encouragement, as well as an informative guide to doing something you had otherwise been avoiding – or wanted to do for a long time but never felt like you could!
You can find all the posts in the Yes, You Can! Turning Mountains INTO Molehills under the FUN tab in the menu above. Or click here to head over there. Why under FUN? Because it’s a great feeling knowing you’ve accomplished something difficult and it’s fun along the way (trust me :) ).
I’m looking forward to you adventuring through life with me! Let’s #turnmtnsintomolehills !
